Return & Warranty Policy
Titan Commercial Fitness
This Return & Warranty Policy governs the sale of commercial and facility-grade fitness equipment by Titan Commercial Fitness (“Titan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to business and institutional purchasers, including gyms, studios, hospitality and multifamily properties, corporate facilities, military and government buyers, educational and athletic institutions, and other commercial buyers (each, a “Purchaser”). It is separate from, and supersedes, any consumer or e-commerce return policy for purchases of commercial equipment.
1. Return Policy
Commercial fitness equipment is heavy, often freight-shipped, and frequently configured to a facility’s specifications. For these reasons, our return terms are stricter than a typical consumer policy. Please review carefully before placing an order.
1.1 Return Authorization Required
No equipment may be returned without a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) issued by Titan in advance. To request an RMA, contact your account representative or reach out to commercialsupport@titanfitness.com. Equipment shipped to us without a valid RMA may be refused or returned at the Purchaser’s expense.
1.2 Eligibility Window & Condition
Requests for discretionary returns (i.e., for reasons other than a defect or shipping damage) must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the delivery date. To be eligible, the equipment must be unused, in new and resalable condition, and returned in its original packaging with all hardware, manuals, and accessories included.
1.3 Restocking Fee & Freight
Approved discretionary returns are subject to a restocking fee of twenty percent (20%) of the equipment’s purchase price, which will be deducted from any refund. The Purchaser is responsible for all return freight, including proper crating, palletizing, and packaging. Original freight, delivery, installation, and any upgraded or expedited shipping charges are non-refundable.
1.4 Custom, Configured & Used Equipment
The following are not eligible for discretionary return under any circumstances:
- Custom or made-to-order equipment — any item built or finished to non-standard specifications (custom color, dimensions, branding, upholstery, or configuration).
- Used or installed equipment — any item that has been placed into service, assembled for use, or is no longer in new, resalable condition.
- Special-order and clearance items — including any product marked “Scratch and Dent,” “Blemished,” “as-is,” or final sale, which are sold without return or warranty rights.
1.5 Return Shipment & Risk of Loss
The Purchaser must provide tracking information for all return shipments and bears the risk of loss until the equipment is received and inspected at our facility. For any return valued over $75, we strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance. Titan does not guarantee receipt of returned equipment and is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.
1.6 Freight Delivery Inspection
All equipment leaves our warehouses in new, unused condition unless otherwise noted. When equipment arrives by freight, the Purchaser must verify that all items are present and inspect the shipment before accepting delivery. Any shortage or visible damage must be clearly noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt at the time of delivery, and the Purchaser should photograph the condition of the packaging and equipment while still on the pallet or in the box. If no damage or shortage is noted at the time of accepted delivery, we cannot offer a refund, replacement, or freight-damage claim.
1.7 Refunds
Once a returned item is received, it will be inspected to confirm new, resalable condition before any refund is approved. If approved, the refund will be issued to the original method of payment within 5–7 business days, less the applicable restocking fee and any non-refundable charges. Equipment that arrives used, damaged, incomplete, or not in its original packaging is not eligible for refund and may be returned to the Purchaser at the Purchaser’s expense.
1.8 Order Cancellations
We process orders quickly. An order may be cancelled without charge only before it has entered processing or production. Once an order has been processed, scheduled for freight, or, in the case of custom equipment, entered production, it cannot be cancelled and the standard return terms above will apply.
1.9 Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If equipment arrives defective or damaged, or if you believe you received the wrong product, notify Titan within seventy-two (72) hours of delivery. You will be asked to provide clear photographs or video documenting the issue. We will arrange a repair, replacement part, replacement unit, or other appropriate remedy at our discretion. Damage that was not noted on the delivery receipt at the time of a freight delivery is handled under Section 1.6.
2. Titan Commercial Limited Warranty
This Limited Warranty is provided to the initial commercial purchaser of any Titan Commercial Fitness product (“Product”) in consideration of the purchase price. Titan warrants that such Products will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal commercial use and proper maintenance, for the warranty periods set forth below.
This warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability and/or fitness for a particular purpose, each of which is hereby disclaimed.
2.1 Warranty Coverage Periods
Coverage begins on the date of purchase and applies to the original commercial purchaser only. Each product category is warranted for the period shown below. Where a Product combines multiple categories (for example, a selectorized machine with a steel frame, moving parts, and upholstered pads), each component is covered for the period applicable to its category.
| Product Category | Commercial Warranty |
|---|---|
| Structural steel, frames & welds | 10 Years |
| Powder coat finish | 90 Days |
| Moving parts (bearings, cables, pulleys) | 1 Year |
| Pads & upholstery | 90 Days |
| Resistance bands | 6 Months |
| Ropes | 1 Year |
| Economy bumper plates | 1 Year |
| Competition bumper plates | 3–5 Years |
| Metal weight plates | 1 Year |
| Medicine & wall balls | 6 Months |
| Sandbags | 6 Months |
| Dumbbells | Contact us |
| Kettlebells | Contact us |
| Barbells (see Section 2.7) | Contact us |
10 year structural coverage applies to the integrity of structural steel, frames, and welds under normal commercial use; it does not cover finish, surface rust, or normal wear.
“Contact us” categories (dumbbells, kettlebells, and barbells) are evaluated individually; please contact Titan for the coverage applicable to a specific item. Barbells are additionally subject to the misuse exclusions in Section 2.7.
Competition bumper plate coverage is determined by model; the applicable term within the 3–5 year range will be confirmed at the time of sale.
Coverage applies to replacement parts. Labor for repairs performed or authorized by Titan is covered during the first year of the applicable period. Any Product or part repaired or replaced under this warranty is covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period. This warranty applies only to Products installed and used within the United States.
2.2 What Is Covered
If a covered defect in material or workmanship is found within the applicable coverage period, Titan will, at its sole discretion, repair the Product, provide replacement parts, or replace the Product, subject to the reimbursement provisions and limitations below.
2.3 Conditions Precedent to a Valid Claim
Titan has no obligation to respond to any claim submitted after the applicable coverage period has expired, or to any claim first submitted more than ninety (90) days after the date a failure is discovered. For any timely claim, the Purchaser must provide information sufficient to substantiate the claim. Titan may request additional information and/or an inspection of the Product, and the Purchaser must use best efforts to cooperate with any investigation. If the Purchaser fails to cooperate, Titan is relieved of any obligation to provide a remedy on that claim.
2.4 Reimbursement Provisions & Limitations
- Any decision to repair the Product, supply parts, or replace the Product, and the method of any such remedy, is made at the sole discretion of Titan.
- Absent Titan’s advance written agreement, Titan is not responsible for any costs or expenses incurred for work performed by a third party.
- In all cases, Titan makes the final determination as to the appropriate remedy for any warranty claim.
2.5 Exclusive Remedy & Limitation of Liability
The repair, replacement, or provision of parts as specified above constitutes the purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy and is in lieu of any other remedy. In no event shall Titan be liable for special, consequential, incidental, or indirect damages — including lost revenue, lost membership income, or facility downtime — arising from any claimed breach of warranty or any delay in performance of this warranty.
2.6 Warranty Exclusions
This Limited Warranty does not extend to any Product that has been subjected to, or any condition arising from:
- Accident, damage, negligence, abuse, or misuse.
- Improper assembly, installation, or maintenance.
- Abnormal or excessive operating conditions, or use beyond the Product’s rated capacity or intended use classification.
- Alteration or modification of the Product.
- Use for any purpose or application different from that for which the Product was designed.
- Normal wear — general wear from ordinary use is expected and does not give rise to a warranty claim.
2.7 Barbells & Bars
Barbells and bars are not warrantied against bending or damage caused by negligence, improper handling, maintenance, alteration, or storage. Most bar issues result from misuse rather than manufacturing defects. Improper use includes dropping the bar onto boxes, benches, or spotter arms; dropping the bar with damaged or worn bumpers or iron plates; and dropping the bar repeatedly onto concrete or other hard surfaces. Unique cases are evaluated individually.
2.8 Third-Party Products
For components or products not manufactured by Titan, the original manufacturer’s warranty applies, and Titan’s Limited Warranty does not extend to those items.
2.9 No Modification, Extension, or Transfer
This Limited Warranty is limited to the written terms in this document. Titan does not authorize anyone to change or extend its terms in any manner. The warranty is non-transferable and is available only to the original commercial purchaser that acquired the Product directly from Titan; it does not transfer to subsequent owners or users. Class A/B, reconditioned, “Scratch and Dent,” and “Blemished” Products are sold with no warranty coverage.
3. Filing a Warranty Claim
To file a claim, contact Titan with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs or video documenting the condition of the equipment. If the issue is covered, Titan will replace the defective Product or parts, supply any required return packaging, and cover authorized shipping or on-site labor as applicable. If the issue is not covered, repairs may still be performed at the Purchaser’s expense; a written estimate will be provided before any non-warranty repair begins, and the Purchaser is responsible for return shipping in non-warranty situations.
4. Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration
Within ninety (90) days of Titan’s receipt of a Purchaser’s notice under this Policy, the parties will attempt to resolve any question regarding the applicability of this warranty or any determination by Titan. If they cannot reach an agreeable resolution within that period, the parties agree that binding arbitration shall be the exclusive method for resolving any such dispute, and that no claim or lawsuit relating to the Product or any related warranty may be brought in any municipal, county, state, federal, or other court of general jurisdiction.
The parties acknowledge that the purchase of a Product involves interstate commerce. Arbitration shall be conducted under the Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq., and administered under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”). Any dispute regarding the scope of this arbitration provision shall be delegated to the arbitrator(s). Each party shall bear its own costs and attorney’s fees and share equally the fees of the AAA and the arbitrator(s), except that the arbitrator(s) may apportion ultimate responsibility for all AAA fees in the final award. The arbitration and its results shall remain confidential except as necessary to effectuate the award or as required by law.
5. General Provisions
5.1 Governing Law
This Policy and the parties’ relationship are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
5.2 Typographical Errors & Pricing
If a Product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, Titan reserves the right to cancel any order placed at that price. If a Purchaser’s payment method has already been charged, Titan will issue a credit for the incorrect amount.
5.3 California Proposition 65
California’s Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings about significant exposure to chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. For more information, visit the OEHHA Proposition 65 list and p65warnings.ca.gov.
5.4 Severability
If any provision of this Policy is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations on warranties or damages, so some of the disclaimers above may not apply in those jurisdictions.
